Every year the world uses upwards of 500 billion plastic bags, the amount of them that end up the oceans and lakes in unprecedented. Every year millions of marine animals die from plastic pollutants alone. They are covered in plastic or even eat the plastic bag as a whole, destroying their digestive system and even cause a chain reaction also killing the animals that feed on on the animals who have attempted to eat the plastic bags.
